DIGITAL LEARNING
Information for parents/carers
Students can access all the work from their lessons via Google Classroom at any time. This means that students have access to revision materials and class materials easily and, if they are off school, students can easily catch up on their education and can communicate with their teachers who will be happy to give advice and guidance as needed. All students are automatically enrolled in the correct classes based on their timetable.
Your child can access their lessons by logging in to Google Classroom with their school email address, using the link at the bottom of this page.
School email addresses are in the format: firstname.surname23@stlukescofe.school, where the number is the year in which the student will leave year 11.
If, for any reason, the school is asked to close due to extreme weather or another unforseen event, students should follow their normal timetable to complete their lessons. Work should be normally be completed in homework practice books. They can also access extra material on:
- BBC Bitesize
- Seneca Learning
- Oak National Academy (currently free from data restrictions on UK mobiles)
Teachers will be happy to guide students who may want to use these additional resources.
Keeping your child safe online
Through both Computing and Life to the full lessons, students learn about keeping themselves safe online.
