Our Trust of Schools

Why Choose St Luke's?

St. Luke’s is an ambitious and inclusive school, dedicated to ensuring all students live ‘life to the full’. We have the highest aspirations for our students, and we work hard to ensure that they have the very best opportunities to excel in the classroom and beyond.

  • We’re incredibly proud that our results were in the top 5 in Devon for progress in 2023. We know just how important these results are for young people to be able to take the next step in their education and future employment.

  • We achieve these results with a relentless focus on high standards in the design of our curriculum and the quality of teaching in our classrooms.

  • St Luke’s is also a warm and inclusive school. Our staff are guided by an ethos of care and compassion. We know our students well, and every individual in our school is valued as a unique member of our community. We invest heavily in inclusion to ensure that there are many layers of support for vulnerable children and those with additional needs.

  • We are really proud of our distinctive Christian ethos We enable each and every one of them to become ‘good stewards’ of their own lives and of the world around them by taking personal responsibility for themselves, their learning and their environment. All of our community treat one and another with dignity and respect and we are incredibly proud of our Christian ethos.

  • We have a fantastic history of success in sport at St Luke’s, with highly competitive sports teams and incredible facilities, including our sports hall, netball courts, all-weather pitch, playing fields and fitness suite.

  • We have a rich and varied sport and enrichment offer. Whether you’re interested in martial arts, chess, Duke of Edinburgh, Latin mythology or Crossfit, there is something for everyone.

Our vision is to ensure that our community, both staff and students live ‘life to the full’ with this being underpinned by our five core values.
